We, the Old Thorntonians are the association for former pupils of Thornton College. We are still in touch with over 1500 former pupils and we hold decade reunions each year.
Our next Class Reunions are on Sunday 21st May 2017 and are for all girls who left in a year ending with a 7. Click the 'reunions' tab below for further information or please visit our events section on Facebook. On request, we also help to organise specific year reunions. In 2009 we hosted a Grand Reunion Weekend to celebrate 90 years of the Old Thorntonians Association to which over 200 former pupils and staff attended. Our next grand reunion will form part of our school centenary celebrations which run throughout the academic year September 2017 to July 2018.
If you have not heard anything from us for a while, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to check that we have the correct address and email details for you. Most correspondence is now posted through the school facebook page, rather than sent out by mail.
If you have any please do get in touch. You can email all news to Jane Holliday (Haseldine 1985). We will also publish your news on this part of the Thornton website. To update our records with your new address or indeed new name, please email Jane.
Thank you to everyone who has returned the 'contact update form' sent out to all OTAs on our database.
The Association relies on donations from Old Thorntonians to pay for the postage of correspondence and organisation of events. A Life Subscription offers the most cost effective membership at just £100. Annual Subscriptions vary depending on your status (standard sub is £10).
We are happy to help in the organisation of year group reunions for any old girls wishing to get together with former classmates. We help you to trace your old friends through our database and will host the event at the school if you so wish. Each year we hold one major reunion for girls celebrating their decade anniversary, i.e. for girls who left Thornton 10,20,30,40,50, 60 (and sometimes 70!) years ago.
The next event is on Sunday May 21st for all those who left the school in a year ending with a '7'.
To cover the cost of the event we ask for donations of £7.50 per head which includes welcome drinks and afternoon tea.
Format for the afternoon
2.30 pm Arrivals and welcome from our Head, Mrs Jo Storey
3 - 4 pm Tours of the school & catch up with friends
4 - 5 pm Afternoon tea in the Drawing Room

Please confirm your attendance by emailing Jane Holliday (1984 leaver and social secretary for the OTA) email@example.com. She will add you to the guest list and email BACS payment details. There is no charge for Life Members of the OTA, but please still let us know you are coming.
