From October 2018, we have introduced a Joint Careers Programme with St Columba’s College in St Albans.  St Columba’s is an independent school for boys from ages 4-18, with similar moral and spiritual values to Thornton.

This initiative will enhance the workshops and clinics run by Mrs Jo Scott, our Employment and Enterprise Advisor. Mrs Scott will work with Mr Paul Kelly from St Columba’s, to create blended activities that will give our students the opportunity to work together with St Columba’s sixth formers at regular events. In addition to complementing our existing programme, this will give our students further insight into workplace practices and how to maximise their employability skills. We are also developing opportunities for students to collaborate and have joint subject seminars on Skype.
