A team of Year 12 students are organising a Paws for a Cure Canicross 5k (that’s running 5k with your dog) and a 5k and 10k run on Saturday 6th May. They are trying to raise in excess of £2,000 for the fantastic charity Medical Detection Dogs. All profits from event will be given to @MedicalDetectionDogs to buy and train a dog. The team has already secured sponsorship from the Milton Keynes Veterinary Group and Steven Eagell Toyota and are being supported by David Lloyd and Audi who have supplied some amazing gifts for the runners’ (and dogs!) goodies bags!
You can enter on line for the race through the event organiser Nice Work's website or download an entry form and send it into school for the attention of Mrs Jo Scott. The entry form has full details about the race including start times and prizes.
We are delighted to be welcoming The Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP, a supporter of Medical Detection Dogs, to the event.
Find out why we should be supporting this charity and watch Iain Duncan Smith on the BBC talking about their work.
