We want you to make the most of your final two years at school and that you grasp every opportunity available to you.
We are dedicated to blending academic excellence with a richness of opportunity beyond the classroom. We are preparing girls for the next 70 or so years of their lives - not just the next five or six. To do this, students need to be exposed to as wide a range of opportunities as possible - allowing them to find out what they love and to find out more about themselves and their own capabilities.
Through creative timetabling, small classes, exceptional teaching and an outward looking culture we can ensure that EVERY student will achieve their full academic potential AND grasp every opportunity to develop skills beyond the classroom which will prepare them for university and life beyond.
We have developed an outstanding co-curricular programme. In addition to the sporting and creative opportunities, students will have access to a range of Societies, Business Enterprise, Outdoor Pursuits, Combined Cadet Force (from September 2017) and Public Speaking. There are also options to take on brand-new interests - we even offer driving awareness courses.
Much of this enrichment programme involves links with other schools, both on the day and the boarding side of life.
The Sixth Form have dedicated teaching facilities and resource room in addition to their common room and full use of the school cafe.
Life in the Sixth Form is different from that which you have experienced up to GCSE level. Having selected the subjects or courses which you are best at or feel you will most enjoy, study will have a renewed impetus. There is so much more freedom in Sixth Form, not only because you will have study periods and non-timetable time. You will be expected to take responsibility for your own performance and time management.
