Year 10 student Nia R has made this incredible fully-functional clock with an egg as the pendulum. To recognise her vital contribution to the project, opening the door at the back of the clock shows a photograph of the chicken who laid the egg!
Nia has entered her clock in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) invention challenge competition.
Good luck Nia! Your invention is truly amazing.
Our Open Morning is an opportunity for families to come and see Thornton College and to learn more about life at the school.
Visitors can hear Dr Louise Shaw, Thornton’s Head Teacher, talk about the school, our ethos and why a Thornton education is so special.
Tours of the school, conducted by Thornton students, are also available for visitors. Hear at first hand how our girls feel about their school.
