Our youngest students in EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) had some very exciting visitors on 6th November to help launch their new topic, ‘Sparkle and Shine’!

Fire officers from Buckingham Fire Station talked to the girls about the various features of their fire engine. The fire officers talked about and demonstrated several items of equipment they use on a daily basis, and their purpose. The girls asked lots of questions and answered plenty of questions from the fire officers too.

It was a fantastic experience and the fire officers appeared to enjoy their visit to Thornton just as much as the girls enjoyed talking to them and looking at their fire engine.
