Candidates will be expected to demonstrate skill, potential and genuine enthusiasm in their chosen sports. They should be able to take part in two or more sports, preferably having reached county level or higher.
Sports scholars will represent the school by playing in school teams and participate in school sporting events. They will also be expected to represent the school, either individually or as part of a team, in local, regional and national competitions.

Open Sport Scholarships are available in:
- Dance
- Equestrian
- Fitness
- Football
- Rugby
- Swimming
- Tennis
- Any other sport you wish to bring to our attention.
Your daughter’s application will be reviewed and if successful, she will be invited to join us for a sports audition which will include an interview with our Director of Sport.
Candidates will be expected to:Â
- Demonstrate fitness
- Demonstrate both team and individual playing skills
- Auditions will likely include hockey, netball or athletics
If you have applied for an Open Sport Scholarship and you are not familiar with the sports played at audition, we will assess each candidates response to instruction, fitness, development and progress during the audition. Decisions will be made on the demonstration of understanding, skill, fitness, and any other material provided on the day.
Essential requirements:
- Completed registration form for your daughter
- Completed taster day visit
- Copy of latest school report that indicates high achieving levels
- Headteacher letter of recommendation
- Reference from a sports coach
- Evidence of participation in fixtures
- Evidence of playing at club/county/competing level (whichever is relative to your sport)
- Evidence of weekly training
 Desirable requirements:
- Previous sporting achievements and qualifications
- Evidence of success in local/regional/county/national competitions (either individually or as a team)
